Our
Story

Welcome to Golden Acres Homestead, our core values are: our faith in Christ, stewardship, self-sufficiency, balance, adaptability, and authenticity. Our mission statement is

"To use the gifts God has given us to assist, inspire, and create."

It all started when we bought our 4 acre homestead as newly-weds and two golden retriever pups, Heidi and Birdie. With all of our work on starting a homestead, home decor projects, dog training, and craftsmanship, our friends and family encouraged us to create a website that people could follow our journey, become inspired, and find advice and assistance.

Primarily, we love working outdoors and consider ourselves craftsmen. Konrad hand turns duck calls and tunes them himself to insure that he is sending quality products to his customers. I, Hardin, love creating art and have experience in multiple mediums. We both thrive when we are creating a piece that is custom and personal, we love learning about our customers and creating something that is unique and perfect for each individual. In our blog, you can find information on our homestead projects (how to build a coop, gardening advice, small and large livestock stories and tips). We also discuss our passion for travels, outdoor recreation, dog training, home life, parenting, cooking/baking, creating recipes, and DIY projects. I enjoy sharing my detailed budgets, plans/research, tips, and itineraries with my fellow type As out there.

Our shop section showcases our most popular items. If there is a post or picture that you see that has a product that is not listed in our shop, reach out to us and we can work with you to duplicate or customize your own. We truly love the opportunity to help people, so if you ever have a question or would like to hire us for a project, please reach out to us using our contact form at the bottom of the page, or reach out to us on social media.
